The Power of Prayer

In today’s Gospel reading at Mass we hear Jesus words loud and clear –

“…if two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my  Father in heaven. For where two or three meet in my name, I shall be there with them.” (Matthew 18: 19)

Just think, Jesus promises God will answer our prayer!

What a powerful teaching this is; if we agree to ask God for something, our prayer will be answered. Does this mean we can ask for anything? Those who meet in Jesus’ name will be asking for something good, something they believe God would want.
